Where Comfort Meets Style
GOLF JOGGERS
The jogger style golf pant is one that provides an option for players to dress in an athletic and tailored style without losing anything in terms comfort or performance.
Rickie Fowler first broke them onto the PGA scene at the tournament of Champions at Kapalua in 2016. Shortly after, our Australian stud Adam Scott donned a pair at Riviera and Rory McIlroy rolled out a pair at the Players Championship.
Erik Van Rooyen is a strong advocate for joggers and big names have all thrown on a pair in tournaments including Collin Morikawa, Tyrell Hatton, Phil Mickelson and Justin Thomas at The Open.
If the style is one that is lauded by the best players in the world, then nothing should be stopping everyone from being able to utilise this cross between professional and athletic apparel.
BRIDGING THE GAP TO FORMALITY
At Linxman, we want to be comfortable on the course and have an underlying love for joggers. However, there was hesitancy to make the shift for fear of a potentially losing formality on the course.
The Solution: Linxman's Premium Ankle Elastic Design
With the formal hem of natural golf pants being on display for the front half of the ankle, and comfortable elastic running the rear of the pant leg, the best of both formal wear and athletic style is achieved.
Losing the tracksuit pants look that can come alongside pants with a scrunchy elastic base, the style of a Linxman jogger is one that provides the sporting look, but also keeps that air of formality that can come alongside a game that is almost 300 years old.
WHAT SHOES DO I PAIR WITH THEM?
We would never dare to tell someone what they can and can't wear.
What we have found to work as a good pairing are athletic trainer style shoes or traditional style golf shoes.
DO I WEAR SOCKS WITH MY JOGGERS?
Yes, we would definitely recommend socks.
Low-cut or invisible socks work best.
Crew length and full length sock can also be incorporated depending on weather severity and fashion taste.
